ASWB Partner Jennifer Schrack Dempsey brings an even-keeled approach to the conference and court room, where she has served as litigation counsel to individual clients and major corporations with equal attention to detail.  Jennifer has advised clients and litigated complex matters involving business torts, contract disputes, partnership disputes, employment disputes, construction contract and defect claims, breach of fiduciary duty and catastrophic personal injury – among others. Jennifer has worked closely with both employees and employers in tackling employment and personnel issues on both a local and nationwide basis.

Though Jennifer has reached favorable resolutions and won trials across a wide range of commercial matters, she has built an expertise in agribusiness. In that sector, she has worked for multi-national companies to address and manage issues involving general liability, production, crop destruction, distribution, and marketing of crop inputs.

As a plaintiff, Jennifer’s wins include securing a $1.7 million jury verdict on behalf of plaintiff members of a limited liability company based on claims of breach of fiduciary duty and conversion; a trial win against state and private entities on behalf of an abused child; and landing a multi-million dollar settlement on a claim of bad faith against an insurance company.

As a defense attorney, Jennifer’s wins include a directed verdict on behalf of a multi-national company on claims of employment discrimination and strategic early dispositive motion successes which resulted in either outright dismissal or facilitated deeply discounted settlements for the client. Jennifer has also negotiated numerous positive resolutions for both corporate and individual clients involving claims of employment discrimination, commercial contract disputes, partnership disputes and crop claims, to name a few.

Jennifer immensely enjoys her time providing pro bono legal services to members of the community in need–advocating for refugees, minors and the elderly as both an attorney and attorney guardian ad litem.

Jennifer lives in Boise with her husband and two children.  In a former life, she placed NCAA Division I volleyball.
